Maker Grade Names vs. JIS Cross-Reference

Mold steels and tool steels are often sold under makers' own grade names. Based on maker documents and cross-reference tables from tool makers and distributors, this page lists the nearest JIS grade and steel family. For grades where the maker gives no JIS equivalent (DC53, NAK80, etc.), we show the steel family instead of guessing a JIS grade.
