1.45 g/cm³
Takiron extruded ET 1980 (ISO 1183-1/-2) and Röchling Trovidur PVC-U grey (DIN EN ISO 1183-1, 1,45) agree. However, Takiron's pressed T938 and TSP338 are 1.41, and rigid PVC pipe VP for water supply is 1.43 (JIS K 7112). It varies with formulation and color

🔧Machinability notes (as stated in the sources)
- Röchling machining conditions (Trovidur PVC-U): Sawing: clearance angle 5–10°, rake angle 0–5°, 3,000–4,000 m/min, tooth pitch 3–5 mm. Turning: clearance angle 8–10°, rake angle 0–5°, approach angle 50–60°, 200–750 m/min, feed 0.3–0.5 mm/rev. Drilling: clearance angle 5–10°, rake angle 3–5°, point angle 60°, 30–120 m/min, feed 0.1–0.5 mm/rev. Milling: clearance angle 5–10°, rake angle 0–15°, 300–1,000 m/min. The drill point angle and rake angle are smaller than for other plastics (point angle 90°, rake angle 10–20°)[10]
- Röchling (general notes on machining shapes): Plastics conduct heat poorly, and if the temperature rises too far the surface softens and becomes sticky, and the material may even be damaged. Chip removal is the best cooling, and coolant can also be used for long cuts. A clean surface and contour accuracy can be obtained only with properly sharpened tools[10]
