Product standards include ASTM B150/B150M (rod, bar and shapes), ASTM B124/B124M (forging stock), ASTM B283/B283M (die forgings) and AMS 4640 (rod, bar, tube, shapes and forgings).
🌐JIS and international equivalents
“Close” means composition or properties are not exactly the same. Before substituting, check the values in each standard.

Differences between the equivalents (from the sources)
- JIS C6301: In the Japan Copper and Brass Association composition table, C6301 is Cu 77.0–84.0, Al 8.5–10.5, Fe 3.5–6.0, Ni 4.0–6.0, Mn 0.50–2.0, with Cu+Al+Fe+Ni+Mn 99.5 min, and is listed in plate form only. Compared with C63000 (Al 9.0–11.0, Fe 2.0–4.0, Ni 4.0–5.5, Mn ≤1.5), Fe is higher and Al slightly lower. In the same table, the aluminum bronzes for rod (JIS H 3250) are C6161, C6191 and C6241, all with a low Ni of 0.50–2.0, so they are different from C63000. Ningbo Jintian (a manufacturer) lists ASTM C63000 and JIS C6301 side by side as equivalents of CW307G
- EN CuAl10Ni5Fe4: Wieland labels its U33 as CuAl10Ni5Fe4 / CW307G / UNS C63000, and in its aerospace list it also pairs C63000 as CuAl10Ni5Fe4 with AMS 4640 and ASTM B150. On the other hand, Wieland matches its U35 (CuAl10Ni5Fe4 / CW307G) to UNS C63020, so CW307G is assigned to both C63000 and C63020. Ningbo Jintian also lists C63000 as an equivalent of CW307G. The EN composition range could not be confirmed in primary sources
- GB QAl10-4-4: Ningbo Jintian lists GB QAl10-4-4 as an equivalent of CW307G. The GB composition range could not be confirmed in primary sources

🔧Machinability notes (as stated in the sources)
- Machinability rating is 30 (CDA rating based on C36000 free-cutting brass = 100; Concast and National Bronze also give 30)[1][2][11]
- Cold workability is Poor, hot formability is Good, forgeability rating is 75, hot working temperature is 1450–1700°F and annealing is 1100–1300°F (CDA)[1]
- Ampco Metal's recommended cutting conditions (carbide K10–K20): rough milling vc 110–160 m/min, f 0.1–0.4 mm/rev, ap up to 4 mm; finish milling vc 90–115, f 0.05–0.1, ap 0.1–0.5; rough turning vc 150–200, f 0.1–0.2, ap up to 2 mm; finish turning vc 180–250, f 0.05–0.1, ap 0.1–0.2 (values for its own AMS 4640-conforming product)[5][6]
- National Bronze's machining cautions (naming C63000 AMS 4640): coated carbide inserts are recommended for roughing. Curled chips tend to wrap around the tool and damage the surface, so deal with them by using a chip breaker, raising the coolant pressure or retracting the tool often. Heat expansion during machining can easily push parts out of tolerance, so use cutting fluid for precision work[11]
