🔧Machinability notes (as stated in the sources)
- AA comparative rating (A–E): T6/T651 = B (Good)[16]
- GLEICH (German aluminum plate manufacturer) rates the machinability of T651 rolled plate as "very good" (the best of 6 grades) and also says it polishes well[12]
- UACJ describes quenched 7000 series plate as "having strength comparable to steel and used for products requiring high machinability"[17]
